(3) Pursuant to chapter 479, no political campaign advertisements shall be erected,
posted, painted, tacked, nailed, or otherwise displayed, placed, or located on or above any
state or county road right-of-way.
right-of-way: “Land reserved, used or to be used for a street, alley, walkway, drainage facility or
other public use or service purpose and the title to which is in public ownership. Rights-of-way are
“owned” by the public. They are entrusted to various public entities for maintenance.

The red star is where the illegal signs were installed. The green lines mark the adjacent property lines.
The Utility Poles can easily found by looking for their shadows. Right-of-Way includes undeveloped land.
These violations are grossly obvious, even for a layman. Notice the signs distance from the edge of the Road.
Clearly a traffic safety issue. All these Candidate are aware of the law and have been ask to remove them.

I have unsuccessfully attempted multiple times over a period of 10 days to the have the Candidates remove their signs,
to get PBC Code Enforcement remove them, or even to get Palm Beach County Sheriff Department to cite the Candidates
for placing their signs in the right of way.
At this time, NO Law or code enforcement agency will take action in regard to these illegally placed signs.
However, the Palm Beach County Sheriff Office is prepared to issue citations to anyone who disturbs these illegal signs.

that know and respect THE LAW.
